Q: Why do I need this adapter for my S&W Sigma Series?
A: The rail system on the S&W Sigma Series does not allow a laser to be mounted because the grooves do not extend all the way to the end of the barrel. Because of that, a laser is not able to be slide onto the rail system. The ADP-SIGM-140 turns the rail system into a Picatinny/ Weaver type rail system, which does allow a laser/flashlight to be mounted.
Q: How does the adapter stay in place?
A: The ADP-SIGM-140 fits snug into the grooves on the rail system of the S & W Sigma Series. There are two screws that tighten down the adapter to the rail with the Hex key provided.
